Controversies
There was a huge controversy when her video "Kaanta Laga" was released. In the video, she allegedly appears in a th0ng, reading a p0rnographic magazine, and performing $exual innuend0s. At that time, in India such videos were not a norm. And many conservative groups protested against the video and unsuccessfully sought a ban. She was accused by many conservative activists of promoting western p0rnographic culture on a fairly conservative Indian society. Sanobar Kabir, the uncrowned oomph-queen of the remix world has all the 'attributes' in her favour. With her Meri Beri Ke Ber Mat Todo , scorching the charts, Sanobar has established herself as a strong contender in the remix biz. Contrary to common practice in remix albums, where the onscreen performer gets all the attention while the singer remains unnoticed, Sanobar has had the best of both worlds here— she's sung the chartbusting single herself. Sure enough, the actress-turned-singer is all pepped up about her second album, which will hit music stores around December.
Meri Beri Ke Ber was the much needed shot in the arm for Sanobar's career, which was on the decline due to her forgettable silver screen appearances. Despite working with big names like Saawan Kumar and Kalpana Lajmi, things weren't close to getting big in her acting career. However, it was her chance entry into the music world that turned things around for her. "My foray into music was quite off-handish. During a stage performance, music director Daboo Malik heard me sing and immediately asked me to cut a disc. I recorded a song Beri Ke Ber, that was liked by the producer of the album and the rest, as they say, is history," she chuckles.

Sonu Nigam's new album “Chanda ki Doli” has added a new dimension to his music world. It has 9 songs and one remix.
All the songs have been sung and composed by him with lyrics by Nusrat Badr. Each song is unique and different from the others. I would not describe each and every song because they cannot be described in words. The songs are a set of true melody. They do not have the funkiness found in most of the songs nowadays.
On the surface the songs may not seem special. But a dedicated listener would be able to tell that all are masterpieces. Each and every song has a soul. The soul remains alive in your heart for a long time. The title track is the best. This album is Sonu Nigam’s first attempt at music composing and I would give him 10/10 for his effort.

When I first contemplated writing this review, I had hesitations because I wanted to be taken seriously, as a number of Bhangra fans have harsh words to say about the man proclaimed as HARD E. For as many dedicated fans as HARD E has, he has the same number of detractors, who dislike him with a passion.
A quick background on HARD E will clear up some of the reasons of ill will towards his music. For those of you that don’t know, HARD E is the younger cousin of the Crown Prince of Bhangra, Jazzy Bains. HARD E got his break into the Bhangra scene through the help of his cousin, which is a main reason many music lovers don’t like him. You can say some people are simply hatin' or you can say that some people are jealous that he had an easy road to success. Either way, I believe no matter who’s your cousin, your daddy, your manager, if you don’t have talent, you just don’t have talent. PERIOD. Fans say he got lucky to be hooked up with the talents of Jazzy B as a vocalist and a lyric writer as well as Sukshinder Shinda as a music producer. This is partially true, but you can’t blame him for being in the right music family, all you can do embrace his vocals and judge him on a fair scale.
HARD E began touring around the world with Jazzy B as a teenager, providing background vocals and stage presence. For the longest time Jazzy urged him to create his own solo album, which he did after some reluctance. HARD E released the album UNDERWORLD in 1999. Although he simply laid background vocals for featured artists on most of the tracks, he did have two solo tracks on the album, which were well received. With a fan base starting to be built, it took HARD E almost a full five years to release his first complete solo album entitled "Turn On".
Turn On is a 6-Track album with silky beats and innovative bass lines. The credit all goes to the Music Man himself, Sukshinder Shinda. But Hard E did an excellent job of blending his vocals with the beats. His style and voice may be distinct which is what sets him apart from the norm. The title track and the hit from this album is Turn On. The song is written by Jazzy B, which already means an instant hit. Newcomer Sabvita lends her pleasant vocals on the track as well as on the track, C’mon Girl. Both are two of my favorites and the reason being is the combination of the harmonies and composition are one of a kind. The song Sunn is a perfect cruising track with Shinda’s defining dhol and bass.
Overall this isn’t your typical Bhangra album for the traditionalists. This is something to just kick back and listen to. In actuality, dance club-goers are more likely to relate to his album because of the up-tempo sounds. With the combination of Jazzy B as a vocalist and Sukshinder Shinda as your producer, you’re rolling with the big boys of the Bhangra scene, so anything less then perfect would be a failure. Although this album isn’t perfect it’s well put together and worth giving a listen to. I would have to give it a 6.5 out of 10, and hope our listeners give HARD E a fair chance before you judge him, as you might be pleasantly surprised!

Nissan Pivo 2 Conceptcar
TOKYO (AFP) — Japan's Nissan Motor Co. on Friday unveiled a new version of its egg-shaped Pivo concept car that can drive sideways and has a small robot to assist with navigation or calm down angry drivers.
The Pivo 2 three-seater electric car has wheels that can turn 90 degrees for easy parallel parking.
Like its predecessor, which was unveiled two years ago, the new Pivo has a cabin able to revolve 360 degrees, eliminating the need to reverse.
A round-eyed robot head sitting on the dashboard has cameras that can tell when a driver is getting sleepy.
"You look tired. There's a coffee shop 500 metres ahead on the left," it told a driver with drooping eyelids during a recent demonstration.
It can also nod or shake its head, helping to improve the mood of irate or glum drivers.
The car has "by-wire" technologies that use electric signals in the steering and braking.
Unlike the first Pivo, it has no axles. Instead it has four separate electric motors, allowing the wheels to turn further than a conventional car.
The Pivo 2 will be exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show near the capital from October 27.

Hi everyone,
Until yesterday, this pretty girl (in this video song) Shama Sikander was struggling real hard to make her presence felt in the tinsel town. Even shaking a leg with Fardeen in 'Prem Aggan' and Aamir in 'Mann' didn't do any good for her flagging career.

Sophiya Chaudhary is an bollywood actress, singer and a popular MTV VJ. Sophie is a lingui$t, and speaks English, Hindi, Ur*du and Fren©h. She sings in these languages as well as in Spani$h, Punjabi and Arabi©.
Sophie was born in UK. Her father adored Sophia Loren and hence her birth name is "Sophia", however she now goes by the name "Sophie".She was a performer from a young age: a part of the school choir and playing the lead role in school and college musicals. Her talent was discovered by the acclaimed music director Biddu when she was 13 years old.
She started her career by singing back up for Shweta Shetty and Alisha Chinai.
Sophie was a brilliant student. Reportedly, before her 'A' levels her headmistress actually called in her mum, and told her that Sophie needed a holiday! She attended one of the best Private Schools in England, where she indulged not only in Drama, Theater, Music and Sports but also debate. She began debating from the age of 11 on issues ranging from the right of Abortion, $moking in public, to the benefits of E.U. She captained her inter school debate team.Sophie got 4 'A's in her A level examinations; Fren©h, History, Italian and Drama and also achieved an A grade in 'AS level' maths. She then went onto become part of the prestigious London School of Economics in a course which has room for only 13 students; European Politics and Fren©h.
As part of her degree Sophie studied for nearly two years at "Sciences-Po" in Paris, the most prized political institute, from which all Fren©h Prime ministers and Presidents have graduated. She was the only Indian student in the entire college, and almost all the other students were of Fren©h origin. Nonetheless despite the odds, she topped her "Geo-political class and exam". She went on to write a 10,000word dissertation in Fren©h on the role of women in the Fren©h Resistance and got a "First" for it.
Having completed her education, Sophie decided it was time to follow her dreams and she began her singing career.

Songs on this album include Dil Ke Armaan, Ghar aaya Mera Pardesi, Bachke Rehna re baba, Zoobi Zoobi, Naulakha, and Jaadugar Saiyyan. The Ek pardesi video showed Sophie as glamorous and endearing. This was followed up by videos of Jaadugar Saiyyan and nine other short videos from the album including the songs Naulakha, Dil ke Arman, the hip hop Kissiko, Saiyyan le Gayi Jiya and many more.
In October 2004, she won the Lycra MTV style award for "Most stylish female in music". In January 2005, she won the Bollywood award for Best pop Singer, at the Bollywood Awards held in Dubai Global Village in January 2005.

Nagarjuna looks cool with long hair. He is rough as well as stylish and has given a stunning performance. Sonu Sood has given a controlled and commendable performance. Mallika I Hate You : Sandeep Chowta -
If there is a period when a change is happening in the world of movies and music, it is NOW! While Bollywood movies are on an experimental mode, the music too is not far behind with new concepts arriving with good regularity. Sandeep Chowta is one such musician who aims at doing something different by coming up with an album solely based on a single - 'Mallika ! I Hate You'. Though there has been one such experiment before in the form of 'Mantra' that was a single from 'Euphoria', it’s for the first time that there is a good marketing and publicity effort behind a single. Sonu Kakkar, who shot to limelight with Chowta's 'Babuji' [Dum] is the girl who has been roped in to do the various versions of 'Mallika ! I Hate You' while her brother Vipin Kakkar writes the lyrics.
There are as many as four different versions of 'Mallika I Hate You' that grace the album - Original, Desi Mix, Club Mix and Lounge Mix. And no, before you start wondering if the song is targeted at any individual in particular, then that's not the case because as per the composer/singer Chowta himself, the song is an expression of desire for someone who is inaccessible and you want her terribly in your life. And when love becomes pain, there is no choice but to say 'Mallika, I Hate You'. And yes, Mallika could be anyone; be it Urvashi, Menaka or someone else.

'Cash' is all about loads of bikes, action, stunts and music. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the soundtrack of the movie has been composed by Vishal and Shekhar who haven't really put their skills to good use. Only two numbers make their mark.
The power packed title track of 'Cash' catches on to listeners instantly. Rendered by Vishal and Shekhar along with Sunidhi Chauhan, it is an assortment of foot-tapping beats and rushing music. Sunidhi's expertise in this genre of music is clearly evident as her passionate voice gives the track the push to make it a success. All this and more has made the number an instant success.
'Mind-blowing mahiya' isn't as mind-blowing as the title suggests. If the song does rake in any moolah, it would be all because of how well Sunidhi's seductive vocals gel with Vishal-Shekhar's music.
An average track, 'Mind-blowing mahiya' starts off with a musical composition of beats and then proceeds to the vocals by Sunidhi and ends up to be only a nice party number.

It makes you laugh now and then, but it falls short of being a laugh riot. David Dhawan’s movie Partner works because Govinda shows traces of his old comic self once again.
One would be stupid to expect some sense out of a David Dhawan flick. He is the man who can give a humorous twist to hogwash. His brand of comedy is strictly slapstick, and pretty enjoyable at that. And ‘Partner’, his comeback film after a gap of one-and-a-half years, does carry a good dose of comedy. But it is certainly not among Dhawan’s best works.
Govinda is the backbone of the film. Salman Khan , sharing almost equal footage, provides him good support. Besides their performances, it is the script that makes the movie click. The plot may be flimsy, but the dialogues are far from banal.
Annie : she is $exy, h0t and she has a sensuous voice. What more do you need to become a star. Annie is originally from Paki$tan and has taken the music industry out there with a storm with her first song Mahia. Her first album Princess released in 2006 was a huge hit and she bowled out her Paki$tani fans with her beauty and innocent voice.
Her great voice combined with her groovy moves are a treat to the ears and eyes as well. The unique thing about her song is that she combines English words with Hindi in a very synergestic fashion. The only thing I can say to Annie is : “tu ne aisi adaa se mujhe dekha, dil ho gaya nisaar mahiya” .
